Hold down the A button and then depress the reset and hold both until the system beeps.  Then let go of both the Reset and A button.  This will reset the system and may take several minutes.  You should start seeing information on your app.  If, after a few minutes you aren’t able to access information through the app, see the app update section in FAQ.

My Yacht key is not silencing the motion alarms
  • First, look to make sure the Yacht Key is registered.

  • Click on the “Wheel” on the main page, then when the new window opens, scroll down until you find the Yacht Keys box.  Tap on the Yacht Key box and it should open, showing all the yacht key numbers which are registered to the system.

If your Yacht Key is registered, the issue may be a reception issue between the key and the Yacht Protector Core.

  • To check this, start at the main page of the Yacht Protector App.  At the top of the main screen, you will see an icon for the Yacht Key (this icon looks like a card from an old rolodex) If you are on board the boat and the yacht Key is registered correctly to your system, this icon should show Green.  If the Icon is Red, this indicates a reception issue between the key and the core.

  • While looking at the Yacht Key icon on the main screen, locate the YP Core and bring the key closer to the Core.  If at some point the icon on the mobile app turns green, there is a reception issue.

  • This could be caused by one of two factors.  Either the battery in the Yacht Key is weak and should be replaced or the Core is mounted in a place where there is too much interference with the Yacht Key and will need to be moved within the boat to a place which will provide better reception.

My Yacht Key shows Active but, it is not detected by the core.

Make sure the plastic is removed from the battery on the back of the Yacht Key. Once removed the core will detect the Yacht Key.
